Madrid Investment Attraction: Promoting the Economic Future of the Capital

28 de October de 2024

Madrid is much more than a cultural tourist destination, it is a strategic and dynamic environment for foreign investment. With initiatives to support investors and companies, the Madrid Investment Attraction (MIA) platform has become a key tool to attract high-impact projects that strengthen the city’s business ecosystem.

What is Madrid Investment Attraction?

Madrid Investment Attraction is an initiative developed by the Madrid City Council with the aim of positioning the city as a global destination for investment. This platform provides specialized advice and resources to international companies interested in establishing or expanding their operations in Madrid, facilitating the process of entry and growth in the local market.

Berta de la Fuente Molina’s visit to FUE

Recently, we had the honor of receiving Berta de la Fuente Molina, Head of Investment Attraction at Madrid Investment Attraction, at our headquarters. During her visit, Berta learned first-hand about our Madrid-t place to be project, an initiative of the Fundación Universidad Empresa (FUE), supported by the Madrid City Council, which seeks to connect young talent with employment opportunities in the region.

This meeting was a key opportunity to present our efforts to link students and companies through events such as “Match Your Company”. Berta showed special interest in how this project enhances local talent and fosters the connection between qualified young people and companies with international projection. Their visit underlines their mutual commitment to boosting Madrid’s attractiveness as a hub of innovation and professional growth.

Now looking to the future, what are the objectives and aspirations for the Vivero de Empresas de San Blas?

The San Blas Vivero aims to become a catalyst for national and international talent in the city of Madrid. The incubator accompanies entrepreneurs in all phases of their project, from the conceptualization of their ideas, their implementation, growth and internationalization.

I strongly believe in the importance of creating spaces where startups and start-ups have access to the resources they need to compete in a global, interconnected marketplace.

Today we are here to talk about the Madrid-T Place to Be project, which you have been part of in two of its round tables on entrepreneurship and companies.  What kind of support and differential services does the vivero offer to startups that want to set up in Madrid?

The Vivero of San Blas  offers a set of key services that help startups and newly created companies to grow sustainably. These include access to flexible and equipped workspaces, free training programmes and personalised advice, the possibility of connecting with a network of business contacts and potential investors. In addition, we offer support in the creation of business plans, business management and promote networking activities that facilitate collaboration between entrepreneurs.

Compared to other cities, Madrid has become a very attractive destination for entrepreneurs and from the nursery we want to enhance that advantage by offering services tailored to their needs.

Madrid: A City Open to Innovation

The Spanish capital not only seeks to attract investment, but also to become a benchmark in innovation and sustainability. MIA works to promote projects that integrate advanced technologies and sustainable practices, thus ensuring the long-term growth of Madrid and its competitiveness in the global market.

Why Madrid?

In an increasingly globalized world, choosing the right place to invest is essential. Madrid is presented as an unbeatable option thanks to its economic stability, quality of life and institutional support. From startups to multinationals, they all find in Madrid an ecosystem that promotes innovation, development and sustainability.

Madrid Investment Attraction and Madrid-t place to be share a vision of progress and growth, both for foreign investors and for local talent. Berta de la Fuente Molina’s visit to our headquarters highlights the interest and support that Madrid offers to innovative projects that seek to improve the future of the capital. For those considering expanding their business in Europe, Madrid is an attractive destination with unparalleled growth potential.
